12th Shot of Shock: Mrs. Zant and the Ghost by Wilkie Collins

I read Mrs. Zant and the Ghost by Wilkie Collins as part of the 31 Shots of Shock. Every day of the month of October, I will be posting review of one horror short Story! This challenge is hosted by Rob @RobAroundBooks. You can join any day you want.

Mr. Rayburn and his daughter are out spending time in a park when the girl comes across a women i the park. She seems at first mad and the man takes it upon himself, to warn her acquaintance to not let her roam around by herself. Later he comes to know the story of this lady and her supernatural experiences or was it really supernatural?

This is the longest story I have read so far, and you can believe me, I invested so much time in this because Collins kept me guessing about this woman and her story. It is definitely not scary but it is more like a thriller. Compared to Miss Jéromette and the Clergyman, I think I like this one better.

Read it online.
