The Reading Momster

Think Twice by Lisa Scottoline

Benny Rosato and Alice Connelly are identical twins separated at birth. Benny is a very successful lawyer and runs her on firm. Alice on the other hand is involved with some very bad guys. There happens some issue in Alice’s life and she has to escape from the bad guys now. She hatches a plan to take over Benny’s life, take all her money and just vanish.

I had no idea this was part of a series, not until I was done with it. So it is a good thing that this can be read as a stand-alone. I am not sure why I did not like this book. This was a page-turner and I wanted to know how Bennie would reclaim her life and get Alice behind the bars, but I really did not feel for Bennie. I hated Alice but I did not like the secondary characters as well. It was really unbelievable that they could not tell the difference between the sisters at all.

This is a page-turner but I am not sure if I want to read this series at all.

  1. I have been meaning to read something by Lisa Scottoline. Too bad that the book wasn’t for you. Maybe her other books are better.
But I know what you mean. Unable to connect with the characters spoils my enjoyment of the book.

  2. I don’t have a problem with having characters that I hate in a book–sometimes they’re the greatest ones. But if you still have to connect with them at some level.

I love to hear your thoughts!
