Setting Monthly Goals: October 2014

It is mostly like I write a post and I disappear. This time around though, my father had a an accident. He slipped and fell backwards, hit his head; had a skull fracture and 7cm clot. He was wheeled into surgery immediately because by the time we got him to hospital, he was not able to recall my mothers name or say anything legibly. The days following te surgery were scary and we were worried if at all he would fully recover. But God has been great and the doctor was beyond awesome, and my Dad is doing pretty well. Though a complete recovery is a few months away, he is still battling pain; but we are back to a normal that I am happy about.
Between all this my kids got sick, Aarya got sick 3 times in the last month and a half. First time it was a week of viral fever… followed by bronchitis and then again viral. The boy’s immune system is at its worst and repeated fevers, medication has left him with no appetite. He is weak physically and emotionally. Poor chap.

But now that everything seems to look better, I hope this month will treat us better and here are my goals!
#1 – Work with Aarya to build his confidence back. Help Aaya and Anjie love food that actually build their immunity.
#2 – Help him build his stamina too.
#3 – Weekly wrap up for our Picture book challenge. We have been reading but not cataloging sadly! So I have no record of what we have read in the last few months!
#4 – Write my post about #Lovebooksexchange
#5 – Get back to doing simple activities with Aarya.

That’s about it. Hope to post more regularly!

  1. Veena, don’t worry about your absence from blogging. I hope your father heals well and as quickly as possible. My kids got many colds and other illnesses when they were young (I think that is how they built their immune systems). I look forward to your next post, but don’t mind waiting if need be. Have a good weekend. 🙂

I love to hear your thoughts!
