Check and change the oil.
No single step will help an engine last more than regular oil and filter changes will. Conversely, nothing will destroy an engine faster than neglecting oil-level checks or fresh-oil changes. Every 3000-3500miles or according to the manufacturer’s instructions change the oil!
Check every other day for Pressure at the Petrol pump and every maintenance ask the mechanic to check the tires! Don’t keep the tires beyond their lifeline because this could lead to accidents!
Keep it clean
While washing the outside of the vehicle is obvious, most everything on the road can also get stuck to the underside. Hosing off is a good idea.
Anything that is moving needs grease! Good Lubrication is essential! Check and get it lubricated regularly!
Get the Batteries checked during servicing and even otherwise! The Batteries are susceptible to corrosion, so getting it cleaned it crucial! Also most batteries need to be replaced after sometime, so keep a check and get it done and also check the alternator when you do it!
The braking systems in our cars are to be replaced periodically to maintain maximum braking efficiency. The minute there is any issue with the brake, take your car to have the brakes checked immediately. There are too many accidents on the road because of brakes failing!
Have you heard that weird, squealing sound from the car when it starts, so irritating and embarrassing! Check the belts or have them checked regularly for wear and tension. Very loose belts make that loud squealing sound. You belts need to be checked if you hear that sound!
Check if your Windshield Wipers are worn because after a while they to wear out and then they don’t function properly. You can either replace a part or the whole thing, it is not expensive at all
Vacuuming and cleaning the interiors and keeping them fresh and sparkling over all always makes me happy!
Get your PUC or Emission Test done regularly! Not only is it important document because it is mandatory to have it, it also helps in maintaining the car well. So if there is an issue, you can get it serviced and fixed immediately
