Back again, back again, baby is late. .
To market, to market, to buy a plum bun,
Back again, back again, market is done.
This compilation of Poems are selected by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Bob Graham! And there are poems about everything and anything. There are small poems of 4 lines alone and there are big ones, with repeating texts. There are rhyming poems and non rhyming ones too. There are at least 100 poems by acclaimed Poets and some Poets, I haven’t heard of too. The art work is fun to see, and some of the poems are like reading tongue twisters, and yes we had a few laughs trying to get them right 🙂
Acclaimed Poets and writers like Eve Merriam, Jack Prelutsky, Eleanor Farjeon, Margaret Mahy, Robert Louis Stevenson and Langston Hughes are a delight to read in this volume! And their poem are perfectly illustrated by Graham.
Do you like reading poems?
Honestly – I don’t!
But poems help teach rhyming words. Experts say kids are able to repeat a rhyme with rhythm faster than anything else. We learn new words and it’s so much fun. .
Have you read fun poems to kids, which is your Favorite!?
