Can you believe it is Halloween time already?! Wow, time flies! I have not been reading many short stories lately, and I thought this is definitely be a fun way to get back to blogging about short stories.
So Rob @ RobAroundBooks says,
Well folks it’s almost October already, and that can only mean one thing around here at RobAroundBooks, it’s time for another rendition of my 31 Shots of Shock reading project; a project where I read one horror-themed short story every day throughout the month of October, during the lead up to Halloween.
He has a wonderful list of all horror-based short stories he has read in the past two years and I am going to use that! So You will be seeing a short story a day here, all horror based.
If you would like to do this as well, just let me know and I will drop in by your blog, to see what you are reading.
Here is what she says,
This year, we’ll be reading about monsters of a different kind. Heather will be hosting Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, while I’m going to urge you all to read The Picture of Dorian Gray with me [… ]Just like last year, we’ll start the month with a little background info and some questions to consider as you read the book(s). Mid-month we’ll check in with all of the participants. And at the end of the month, we’ll post a wrap-up of the event. You will have all month to read one (or both) of the books and post your thoughts.
I am torn between the two, they both are not really big books, and I wanted to read both too. But I really will make that decision after I start The Picture of Dorian Gray. I am reading The Picture of Dorian Gray because Jill is reading it, no other reason really 🙂
